s6 boost issue!?

I seem to be suffering from a boost leak of some sort on my 1995 s6 under acceleration it goes to 2.0bar then it fluctuates and it drops to 1.6bar. when you put your foot down it starts to go then seems to go flat and wont give any more boost from 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8bar. everything else is fine, so what could be the problem

Pretty sure thats about normal for a standard engine. You'll get peak boost at 2.0-2.1bar in overboost mode and then it'll drop off as the revs clime. A chip set/remap will soon sort this out, mine holds 2.1 and peaks at 2.4!

I would agree with Merlin on how the boost works, mine holds 2.0 - 2.1 and peaks at 2.6, this is with the ecu being modded, 3.0bar vmap sensor and a tweek of the wastegate screw, damn thing bloody flys.
