  • What's this then??

    I'm learning fast - but it's a long road.

Whilst tinkering I noticed that there is a very slight leak around the large cross headed bolt underneath the pipe at the front of the engine - as shown - not sure what this is for, seems a ****** to tighten it as can't get at it.

What is it? What is leaking from it? How best to fix?

    Ta.

That is the power steering pump. Again do a search, you will find a thread on it. Or someon will post a link in a bit.
Quite common to get a weep/leak there. There is an O-ring beneath that screw.
Brutal answer was to get a large flat bladed screwdriver/chisel and tap it round, thats how i watched the guy change mine Cost around £5 for a new screw and washer......

As stated by Dean, I used the hammer and chisel method to change it, but have now bought a tool for job in case I or any of the guys up here need to do it again.
          Tool was bought from here

There is a 17x2mm o-ring under that plug. No need for a new plug, just the o-ring.
