The problem comes only when I floor and boost goes over 1 bar. I changed the spark plug wires and it went better but still not going right. When I floor it then engine hesitates - goes like it should for few seconds and then doesn't and so on. I think it is ignition related. No boost leak, fuel pressure was OK. Before changing the spark plug wires there was a misfire in one cylinder. Could it have ruined something else?

Reimo
Reimo, if you have an ABY, then it could be a coil pack breaking down. Mine was doing the same so I replaced 3 of the 5 worst, then in typical German engineering fashion, I had to replace the other two last week. All five failed within 4 weeks of each other Not bad after 12 years is it?
Try testing them and see how you go

FINALLY I solved the problem. It took me ages to have the car running properly. First I changed both knock sensors, then one spark plug and plug wire (was misfiring), then a thermostat and temp. sensor (they were all faulty). Yesterday I bought all new spark plug wires and the difference was noticeable but still there were some spluttering when flooring. Today I went to dealers and bought all new spark plugs. Guess what, a miracle happened - the car is running better then ever (to be honest I didn't remember how quick it was because last time it run well more then half a year ago). To be honest I didn't think that spark plugs can cause such a big problem.
I think I still have to learn this rule - Check the simplest things first and if they are working fine then go further.
Anyway thanks for info and as I saw from your posts then you also noted that the problem was related to spark issue.
