side window has come unstuck

Where my drivers side window glass slots in to the plastic channel on the rising and falling mechanism the "gluey foam substance" that sticks the glass to the plastic channel has failed and the glass keeps coming out of the slot when opening the window, dropping down suddenly with a worry crash. No damage yet but it needs fixing asap.

What "gluey foam substance" would anyone recomend to use to stick it back.

Do you think Silcone Sealant would be stong enough to pull the window down.
