Hi , Had a search back and cant find the info needed ?
I want to remove the rubbing strips on My 90Q either to leave them off or to colour code them.
Anyone know how to do it ? or got any tips ?
Cheers
Dom
if its the ones half way up the door, then they are stuck on with double sided tape so have to be cut off with some of that plastic packing strapping. If you mean the lower door ones, right at the bottom edge, then open the door and you'll find on screw holds on each molding, then slide it off towards the back of the car off the clips.
IIRC the badge is not available. The later cabriolet has that strip with no badge and is smoother.
There was a couple of the oval wing badges (NOS) on fleabay a week or so ago.
doesn't come up as NLA in family album, though saying that, it could be wrong.
Part number is 895 853 621A. maybe worth a phone call to Martyn or Alan at vagparts to see if they are still available, or a trip to a scrappy if not.

IIRC, the coupe's rubbing strips are different to the Avant and Saloons.
