Changing Rear Quarter windows on Coupe

My god what a pain in the **** this is!!!

Took me and a mate a good 4-5 hours to change this glass!

Have to dismantle most of the car to be able to change it.... i'll detail it tomorrow.... but pray you dont need to replace it! Plus the cost of that glass is £110+VAT!!!!

Are they rear opening windows? Fixed ones don't take long to replace at all, I've only had to remove the black panel on the B post to expose the two 13mm bolts that hold the leading edge of the glass, then I removed the top part of the rear seat belt, removed the seat back lock pin, removed the rear side trim.

Lastly, I remove the 10mm nut that holds the trailling part of the glass, and carefully push against the stud. A bit tricky, as there's some grippy black mastic.

I removed and replaced both rear quarter glass from a Coupe, as they had been number etched with a previous private plate, took me just under 2 hours for both sides.

I haven't replaced opening rear windows, I guess that's what you have.

Hi Ant. Why were you replacing the glass? Was your glass targeted along with your locks by the thieving scum too?

Yup, altho having had the door cards apart they clearly knew what they were doing as there was absolutely no damage at all to the lock itself!!!

In all fairness i guess it was nearer to 2-3 hours as i stripped the doors down first yesterday, still a very long winded glass change, at least it all came apart ok and went back together ok afterwards.
