I totally dissagree.

I would agree if it was full limo tints, but just a shade darker than original is fine. Lots of high class motors come factory tinted.

v dark tints on a white/silver car is a bad idea, but very light on a dark colourd car makes it match.

If you look at my s2 and think its a chav car u need ur head testing. infact get a jag or a volvo.

If average Joe Public walking along the street sees tints on anything but a stretched limo, he thinks to himself 'the owner of that car is 18 and wears his cap backwards'. he then hurries off in case the said youth comes back and harrasses him. Whilst it is a cliche and a generalisation, that is what average Joe thinks in the UK and we should never let him think that of an Audi.....a Clio yes, but not an Audi.

It doesn't matter how professional the job or how cheap from Halfords, the effect is the same. They look out of place, therefore like an 18yr old boy racer special. My office is opposite a college and every other car in the car park has tinted windows to hide the acne-ridden face of the driver, spinners and an exhaust like main sewer.

The same goes for spinners, whale tails, neon lights, blue LED's in the washer jets and driving with your fog lights on all the time....don't do it or you'll get laughed at.

I agree, cars with tints normally indicate that the owner has something to hide and are infact a bigger target than untinted cars.

Plus it draws unwated Police attention.

I don't like tinting, that's an opinion - too many boy racers have it...

...but it looks wrong with the legal aspect of the door glass and front screen being clear or standard in the UK anyway.

It might be different in Slovenia? Maybe you can have all round tinting there Skull?

We can have 10% shaded driver and passenger windows and 45% all others. We can have a 12cm windshield stripe.

Cmon, pass that racer boy thing. What will you do when having porsche brakes on the front will be rice? When all boy rice racers with the hat turned backwards will have turbo engines? will you turn you cars to 1.9SDI? Ricers wont have 1.9SDI, so let`go!!!

p.s.: btw, bout that COP issue: you cant imagine the feeling when you are cruzin` in da street late at night, all quet, than som punk cop turns on the siren and light and starts blinking with the headlights like you killed 10 ppl. and then asks you to show the papers for the allmighty tint, thinking that he busted you and will give you a toll of 420 eur (here in slovenia). You just smile, say:"there you go, officer". seeing the expression on his face is priceless.

Those last two are not exactly what i had in mind.
Think bog- standard polar silver RS2, with a mild tint to the rear doors & windows, not some chav's **** fodder.

My 2p worth: I think tinting of any kind that is not uniform on all windows looks wrong and unprofessional. Dark tinting is not my cup of tea at all and concur with all above statements regarding chavs, saxos and basball caps. OEM tinting is all thats needed surely.
