    Leaking Coupe tailgate

    Hands up who has a leaking tailgate on their Coupe?


    Mine dribbles down in the left corner, leaking on to the left rear passenger seat.
    Annoying. Is there anything that can be done
    Ex S2 owner, now running around in an A4 Avant quattro...

    I'm quite sure the rear washer jet sealing to tailgate is leaking. Replace it with newer design one (N-VIN = '92 on). The newer ones have a nut to keep it tight as the older has just a pair of clips.

    If this does not help, it's probably the hinge sealings, but if the water comes from the tailgate, not the roof then the jet.
