rs2 rear bumper on my coupe,possible or not

i finnaly found a front original rs2 bumper,the guy also had a rear rs2,took that also with me.But i am playing with the idea to put also the rear rs2 bumper om my coupe,i know it wont fit right away,but my question is+Is it possible or is it a hell of a job.I know i have to change a lot in the rear lights,have brand new tresers on my coupe,that wont do any good then,couse of the middelplaten,or is the middeleplate als coming in black= How can help and have some info,preciate it,greetzzz barry from amsterdam

If you put yours on before I do Barry please let me know how it goes for you. I will have my body shop do the install for me some time in Jan but I will be there for every step with my camera.

Hi Barry, yes it's possible but it'll require a fair bit of fab work. The exhaust exit is offset relative to the coupe item, the length of the RS2 item is longer too. Personally I don't think it's worth the trouble.

If you do a search on the forum you'll find that one member has already done this.

yes it can be done and has been done.

I know of only 1 person who has a rs2 rear bumper on his couple.

He is a close friend and i remember it took ages to do and get right.

so if you think u can get over all the headaches i say go do it.

you know if you do, do it you will have a pretty unique coupe.

the front is almost ready with painting,but there is a certain line in the bumpers,that you dont see in the standard rear coupe/s2 bumper,my car is out of insurance,i dont drive with it,i got the time.Thinking about it,do some research the coming weeks,thanx guys for the info

Straight fit are (b4 platform):
coupe < -> cabrio
sedan < -> avant

Ofcourse theres a possibility to mix these, but it will require some work and it's not worthy to f*ck up the rs2 rearbumper, better sell it to me

I would normaly not do this... But a lil teaser of my bumper i can afford. =) hehehe... The modifications are MANY! Big fat greetz to eldis for making it possible.

Have in mind that this picture is taken in an early stage of the transformation. =)

Rear RS2 bumper...

Did you know that if you get the USA DOT rear bumper shocks, you can easily mount the bumper to your car? Yeah you m ay need to alter the area where the bumper meets the wheel well but other than that, it should be easy. I've been contemplating doing here in the States but getting an RS2 bumper here is as rare as the golden goose.
