  • Exterior windscreen trim

    Hey guys.

    JUst checking up on this.

You know the trim either side of the windscreen, should this be sitting flush at the top with the roof line or slightly proud. I can get a screwdriver behind mine it as it seem to be sitting way forward on both sides obviusly leaving a gap at the top for water to get in.

Anyone else have this or do you think a bad job of a replacement screen has been done??????

Sounds like a bodged windscreen replacement. They are a PITA to replace (still doesn't let the monkey fitters off the hook though )
They should sit flush and neat with the roofline.
They are held in place by 13/14 rivets behind the A pillar trim.
90% of the time the said "monkey fitters" only replace a few of the rivets leaving it all wrong.

There are lugs to keep the trim flush mounted. The lug must have been teared broken while chaning the screen. It's only a cosmetic issue, though. Don't worry about water.
