The evil that is after market sunroofs!

    Hello,
I have finally just today purchased my project car, yet to my horror it has a rather unsightly aftermarket sunroof, has anyone else encountered this problem and removed it, is it expensive? has anyone converted to a genuine one? ( i guess i will have to measure hole sizes).

    All help appreciated,

Also as its a 90 (currently) i have plans to place S2 front and rear bumpers, this leaves a problem as the 90's have weak side sills compaired to the coupes, anyone now where i can get skirts either pre-fab or custom?

    Thanks

Hi Chen, anything can eb done with metal, it just depends how big your budget is!

A factory sunroof can be fitted you just need a very good bodyman. My Brother has had a Rover sunroof fitted to his Alvis by someone in Darlington. Only cost £400 but it has raised tha value of his car by £600.

Obvioulsy you don't want to pay this amount but a very good bodyshop should be able to help.

    Good luck with the project.
