    RS2/993 light/intake combo

Anyone got a picture of these intakes on an RS2?

Not entirely convinced, so a visual would be useful - i presume a simple addition?

Not sure if i've seen them on an RS2, but there's a few S2s with them.

    Like Mark's, for example.

ahh, nice one 4WD - thanks, they look very impressive!

think they look quite well integrated on a black car, not sure how they'd look on a silver car though?

The bulbs on those lights at type911 are only 5W; although functional, they wouldnt match the standard offering. Wonder if the bulbs can be upgraded?

Yes the lights that come with the ducts are cr@p, since that pic was taken I have upgraded them with the PIAA 002X lights that fit perfectly. although added to the cost of the scoops, it does make it all a bit expensive.

I got the idea from here: http://www.993faq.com/archives/cat_e...em.html#000252

            Q)

Are the standard foglights 993 or 968 items or the same thing?

No they ain't the same. My brother has a 968cs and my 993-airintakes for the RS2-front does not fit nicely into is frontbumber.

                  Thanks for replying!

993 items are actually cheaper than the 968 items, so I guess they are different

still not sure whether to go for the spotlight option

Are you thinking of them as a cosmetic addition or to get more air to the brakes?

If it is to get more air colloing to the brakes it might be a bit tricky as IIRC there is not an obvious route for the ducting.

I was thinking of fitting some to get more air to my cone filter .... from at least one side anyway.

Look here for some cheaper options, although some don't look quite right:

Purely cosmetic, but don't really fancy spending ~£100 on just the lamps, as Mark's done.

As anyone got pic of the vents fitted, as per the first link above, ie without the spotlight option?

Have you taken any measures to protect the fog lights at all?
