    Seat in S2's

I live 1600 m above sea level - that implies that a normally aspirated car loses 17% in power and a turbo car only 4 to 5% compared to sea level. My S2 has about 400 hp and weighing 1340 kg.

Kills include BMW M5 E60, BMW M3 E46, Porsche 996 Carrera S, SL55 AMG, Audi RS6 (my own which is stock), Scooby WRX Sti (and none of them are stock)and Evo 8. But I am not really a straight line type (most of these was a friend who borrowed my car) - my best kill was being faster than all the Scoobies at the Phakisa Race Track (used to host the South African MotoGP) and 2 seconds faster than a M5 E60 driven by a pro in a magazine test.

Something like - No Aircon, No Aux Radiator, No Rear Seats, Sparco Race Seats, OZ Racing Superlegerra lightweight wheels, race suspension, no ICE and only one box in the exhaust.

Jeez, yes, race type seats can be as light as 4kg each if you go to CFRP! Superleggera wheels are also very light, a good choice!

        Good work Gandalf!

I took my leather trim out and put the 'quattro' cloth in and gained loads of headroom. Also I can sit still in corners now. Leather is pretty to look at but isn't user friendly in a performance car

@HPMuirt - I am in South Africa and have an idea that the transport of 46kg would be prohibative.

@Greg_S - One of the reasons I did the seats was that I could not drive with my helmet on The seats are now setup for me to drive with a helmet. It also lowers the weight in the car which helps a bit with handling.

Here is a pic of the new seats.

that is exactly the problem I have too. The problem for me is that I still want to be able to use the back seats aswell so I need a recliner of some kind.

                        Are the subframes fixed too?

The seats can move forward and backwards, but you can adjust height and tilt by undoing 4 bolts.

do the runners have to be bolted to floor or do they fit the original mounts?

It works on the original runners - my mechanic made up the seat base from a Golf or Passat from a scrapyard.
