How do I remove/attach rear decals?

    Hi,

My Avant has been de-badged at the back, apart from the S2 badge. I have a rear hatch from another Audi 80 and I'd like to remove the Audi rings from it and attach them to my S2. How do I do this without knackering everything up?

Also, can someone tell me what badges should be on an original S2 Avant as I'm new to these cars and haven't seen one to compare mine with. Should there be a "Quattro" on there somewhere? A photo would be handy so that I get them in the correct place.

    Cheers

    Tobo.

Heat the badge up with a hairdryer (carefully), then get either some fine fishing line (cotton thread or dental floss will do if you double it over a few times) and work it behind the badge in a sawing motion. To reattach, clean all the sticky pad stuff off and get some new from a motor factors.
IIRC the avant only came with the rings badge in the centre and the S2 badge on the left hand side (nearside). Only the 3B Coupe (S2) ever had a quattro badge on the rear.

The s2 3b had on bootlid: left 'audi', in the midle '0000' and on right 's2'. Never had a 'quattro' . The 'quattro' on rear had only leser models of coupes.
