    Avant face(as*)lift with 90 parts

Scored this some while ago on the bay:

I'll going to fit it in my Avant. I don't like the standard Avant lighting to much...

My mate Rudy has Tresers in his deep purple/blue Avant and it looks great. But I don't like it on a green (Ragusa) Avant.

    Rudy's Tresers

Well, the 90 lighting is in. Did't measure too well, missed about 0.5 cm...

    It think it's nice.

This was my sad looking behind of my Avant, with the big, white reverse lights:

At first, knock the old lights out. Old mounting kit...

Throw the old lights in the corner...

    And the result:

    Little closer:

The boot-handle is still black, you can buy a RS2 handle, which is red. I didn't. The standard handle is about 8 mm lower than the Audi 90 reflector. And I had to cut out a piece from the reflector to make it fit. So I'm going to modify the cut-out piece and than fit it over the black handle. In my mind it's going to be fine than. But I mismeasured before...

About the 0.5 cm, with some force, it wil just fall in the mounting wholes. But it does not fall in the the middle of the mounting wholes. But it fit without extra modification.

    What do you think? Nice?

Oh, the "25 Year Quattro" sticker a going to the trashcan this week...

Oh2, the reflector of the Audi Cabriolet looks the same, but misses the nice horizontal curve in the middle which needed.

Did you also had the problem with fitting? Had to use al little force?

Hey, you trow away the boot handle? Looks better, I must agree.

A nice little update Nero I'm not sure I understand your meaning about the differences between the 90 and Cabriolet, I thought the were identical

          Cheers,

The only problem i found was that the old lights were stuck down solid and needed a bit of brute force to get them out, but apart from that relitivly easy, the boot handle is still there just 15mm shorter to clear the light when opening.

              @ Nuvo:

Look at the nice line at my mate's Tresers. It's a nice clear picture.

                @ John441cc:

Should have known that earlier, mounted my last week... But this isn't the nicest reflector. Some little cracks. So when I get my hands on a mint reflector, I will ask you again.

@Nero Clicking on the link and I get the bizarre message "Geen toegang".

Found these pics too, but they don't show the rears.

This is on my to-do list. I got a 90 light panel ages ago but it had a couple of cracks in it so I didn't bother fitting it. Also couldn't decide what to do with the boot handle.

Think I'll get myself another one and do the same mod as Jon has to the boot handle.
