RS4 grille mesh into RS2 grille frame?

Hey guys I am planning to use the B6 RS4 grille mesh and bumper mesh on my rs2 bumper and rs2 grille. Here is the problem.

First I was under the impression that I can use the rs4 bumper grilles onto the rs2 bumper with no problems and there would be enough mesh to do this. Am I wrong on this?

Second I was planning on using the RS4 center grille mesh and rings into my rs2 grille but my parts supplier replied to me with this. Please confirm if you know.

metal mesh, the RS4 mesh is plastic. I also don't
know if the RS4 Lower Bumper Grille will have enough mesh to fill the
entire opening on the RS2 Front Grille frame. I

i cannot confirm this but i have seen it done,so either he is wrong or there is some kind of supplier of this type of mesh so that you can buy as much as you need.

I have not found a solution as yet... but as I was searching through some pics and ebay sales I found the RS6 grille looks to have identical hex mesh as the RS4 and it is much wider/longer? If I can confirm, this will be my route.

I've done this with my UrS4 (larger grill) using the RS6 grill. I just had enough but you'd have plenty for an S2. See my thread:

I think that you may struggle with the RS4 item. Ask someone to send you the measurements so you can check!

thanks merlin'sS4.. I've been comparing pics online of the rs4 and rs6 bonnet grille and bumper grilles.. I am sure I see that the RS4 and RS6 both share the same diamond size grille mesh... but if you look at the RS4 has a bigger grille mesh size for the 3pcs of the bumper. I looked at the RS6 to see if tis was the same, it isn't. The RS6 has the same size grille and center bumper grille mesh size but larger fog left and right mesh much like the RS4.

I am trying to find the best combination to fit the rs2 bumper and so it looks like RS6 hood grille and RS4 bumper grilles. I really don't think having 2sets of foglamps at the front of the Coupe will look right.. kinda bugeyed but I did find a guy in Germany who sells RS4 fog grilles minus fogs,
