    many many questions!!!!

i have lots of questions and if their are any kind people who could answer them please!

1)will a car pass mot with coloured side repeaters?(fitting green indicators to replace the orange ones in the wing.
2)does it affect the mot tinting the headlight glass, and what tint is best to use?
3)Is it possible to have the rear lights professionally tinted(blacked out) and still be mot friendly??
4)Are the diff mounts the same part as the gearbox mounts??
5)does removing the air con rad help reduce engine temperature?
6)The tracking adjusters on the rear as i call them what is the proper name?

oh and just thought of one more probably the most important is it just me or have heinz beans gone really really crap!!!!?

    many thanks
    dean

Ask kieth about the tinting, he bought rear tinted lights that look very nice IMO. They were done professionally in Germany and i think are MOT approved

why would you want to tint the headlights, imo it wouldn't pass. The side repeaters whatever colour they are must when used flash orange, tinting the rear lights isn't a problem provided that the light emited from the bulbs is sufficient, the cold typ 85 coupe q's had tinted rear lights, the diff mounts have nothing to do with gearbox mounts different part no's entirely, removing the air con rad may improve cooling efficiency but then your air con won't work, can't help on baked beans sorry

hi ian thanks for answering all my questions!I wanted to tint the headlights as i have seen photos of s2's with this done and it looks good,
the diff mounts/gearbox mounts when put together look to have the exact same dimensions and fit the same(The two rubber mounts)
Wanted to remove the air con as i never use it and was hoping it would improve airflow though the main rad,as when the car is stood in traffic it does seem to get very hot and though it may help?
        thanks again

The headlights are painting the reflective back part of the projector style headlamp, not tinting the front cover.

Car should never get too hot if the fan is running correctly, if the car is getting too hot, then i would suggest fixing the problem, not working around it.

take a look at the VOSA MOT guidelines

Tom (Audiman) is an MOT tester and can probably answer your questions straight off too.

Coloured side repeaters are ok IIRC, as long as they flash orange.
