S2 glass sunroof

Hello,

some of site member's S2 has glass sunroofs . Is it standart option or rebuilt? Some years ago I had S2 with metal sunroof, but have never seen glass one.
So, guys, were did you get them?

This was an 'option' and came with a pre-setable opener. It's a nice option

A lot of US spec CQ's got the glass roof too.

Was it only the glass roof models that had the pre-select dial instead the switch? ..Anybody know if it can be fitted or is the motor and assembly different?

Yep, You need sunroof, motor and switch/panel and a few hours labour

K-Bo's also got some funky door builds for the speakers which came with the car when he bought it.

if i go at webasto and ask to put a glass sunroof do you think it is going to be a much less good work as the original audi uses?I was thinking of doing this with the RS2 at some point but was told that aftermarket sunroofs are a pain in the *****$ and also audi uses different points of strengthening the roof when a car is ordered with a sunroof,rather than one not ordered with one.

is this true?I know it needs around 1500euro for a complete sunroof placement with electric connections and full roof retrim.
