Headlamps

Just a quick question i have got ellipsoid headlamps but from germany i also have the uk spec lens and seals that i was planning to put on to the headlamps to convert them to uk spec is that all i need to do to them to sort out the direction of the beam

I was under the impression that it was the profile of the reflector which set the beam pattern. Nothing to do with the lens. Otherwise why would Audi have gone to the expense of making LHD and RHD parts separate?

The lever inside will cut off the overshoot to stop them blinding oncoming traffic, but they won't add any lighting to your left hand side like proper UK lights would.

I'm sure they'll get you through an MOT legally, but I wouldn't have thought they'd put out as good a light pattern. One way to find out though! Know anyone local to do an AB test with?

Yeah i will do i just need to get the car on the road will check it once its back
i have a set of uk ellipsoid headlamps arriving on monday got the pair for £60 quid so will not be stuck one way or the other

No lhd kid just found myself in right place at the right time the Lhd ones i got from a guy breaking a RS2 i got the porsche wingmirrors, front bumper with all the lights and the headlamps, porsche calipers and rs2 grill for £375 it was last year in FALKIRK how lucky was that
