I have replaced the headlamp glass, fitted new indicator housings, and tonight fitted the new foglamp housings. It also had a newish grill courtesy of Stevieid

Bumper looks like its on a slant, not acceptable Steve
You won't believe me, but I did try to straighten the bumper out.

Did this a few months ago, certainly does give the front a nice new uplift.
Did you get just the empty cases Steve and swap over the internals with the fitting kit? A lot cheaper that way.
One of the guys managed to bag a brand spanker complete S2 foglight last weekend at Harewood from a trade stand. £5, lucky blighter.

Yeah, parts sourced from Vagparts, just the housing and lens and fitting kit. The hardest bit is getting the adjusting screw head on the knurled end of the threaded bar.
Apart from that it was easy.
Yeah, the front of the car looks like new now, apart from a couple of small stone chips on the bonnet.
(Nice to see you back on here.)
Cheers,

That plastic adjuster onto the knurled bar is a right royal PITA. I used a small G-clamp in the end.
Just recently bought new trim bits at bottom of screen, new bonnet hinge covers as mine where missing, new foam jobbies that sits on the wings fixing area and a new washer bottle cap.
Think we'll both end up with new cars at this rate

Glad it wasn't just be then! I was swearing and cursing.
In the end I used large my Oil filter pliers, a 6mm 1/4" socket over the threaded end and a piece of flat metal to protect the plastic cross headed adjuster and SQUEEZED!
You need about four hands!
I daren't add up the bits I have bought for mine purely for asthetics. Not only that, I have started doing the same thing on my GTI too....
Cheers,
Steve
