    clicking door

anyone any good tips for adjusting the doors on coupes? My passenger door drives me nuts. When it is first closed if I drive the car I get an annoying "cilcking" all the time. i can "cure" it instantly by slightly opening & closing the window, but next time its opened same again!
I know there is adjustment in the lock striker but there must be a procedure for setting it properly. I dont want to just "loosen it & try it" in dozens of different positions! That would take all day.
I think it must be quite critical with the way these doors rise very slightly to seal the glass into the groove in the rubber.

    thanx,

My Passenger door does that. I belive it is the window adjustor you need to look at not the door! (If you take the door car off, the resting height of the glass can be adjusted.) I have never bothered as it is not too bad and I think I could make it worse!

    Cheers,

        Inner wheel arches? nothing there.

you can adjust the window position via a number of different ways, all on the inside of the door pannel.

My door does the same, but you see i set the window to go a bit higher than before in a attempt to stop the wind noises coming through.

wind noises got a bit quieter but it clicks more than ever.

Just like steve i've left it in fear of making it worse (plus its like an hour or so to make every adjustment and test).
