Door not opening!!

[Knight Rider S4]

Have got a problem with opening the passengers door..when i open the doors all them open apart from the passengers door..the knobs lifts slightly but sinks back down again

Any Ideas?

Sounds like a vacuum leak on the feed pipe. Have a look at where the feed pipe/cables etc pass through the rubber boot between the door and the main body of the car. Could also have come adrift inside of the door.

Yep, definitely a vacuum leak, I'd also check the "diaphragm" of the pump inside the passengers door as the rubber can split and also cause a leak. BTDT.

When you activate the central locking can you hear a hissing sound?

if its not a leak... have had any work on the door card recently? .. make sure its been placed together correctly ...

I once had this problem when taking the door card on and off .. and placed the handle opening cable in the wrong place ..

this made the door lock think that it was still open... worth a check .. if all others fail

ok urs is opposite = not opening .. but worth examining how it has been put together

have had the door card stripped out a few time regarding windows ................checked the door handle lock cable and this was at fault
