    how to fit ebay bumper

Hey when the site went down my thread was removed so I have no idea if anyone answered but how would you go about fitting this bumper to a 90 CQ, http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...ayphotohosting

Hmmm, not sure. But I reckon it involves chopping up your existing bumper, as I believe that ebay item is juist a skin, without brackets / backing.

Yeah looks that way, may i suggest getting an old coupe/ sallon bumper from the breakers and using the jibbs out of that rather than trashing the bumper you have. Also not sure but think cq's your side of the pond got different bumpers that might not work with mounting this skin.

It would be as hard as tightening 4 bolts.

It's not so easy as you think.I bought same bumper, but won't fit directly to the car.The brackets are totaly useless, and are located on the wrong position, we have have to make new brackets and we spent at least 5 hours to mount it properly to the car.

                note: fit before paint

Ok, maybe you have the standard Audi 80 brackets that are different, but the holes for the screws of the brackets must be at the same place. If you get the S2 or coupe brackets it is just 4 screws. Right?

I have never seen the rs2 piece, but im sure it has exactly the same brackets as the s2 bumper. each bracket si bolted on the chassis with 2 bolts, and the bumper is bolted on the bracket with one bolt per side. easier than that...

We all know that, but problem is elsewhere. It's made from fiber glass and it's not a good copy. It's hard to adjust clearence between, left and right fender and front grill. It's impossible to adjust clearence without modifiy it.
