  • Fitting Coupe wings - advice

Just looking for some advice, I am fitting replacement wings to my ABY Coupe. When taking off the old drivers side wing, and the plastic cover behind the wheel arch liner towards the door, I noticed butyl sealer was used.

Just looking for new sealer, and found this on ebay. It comes as an 8mm round bead. Does anyone know if that would be correct for this application?

    Many thanks

Before you buy any sealer, check Audi Tradition as they were selling those plastic liners with the sealant attached for a very good price. This was 2018 so hopefully haven't sold out.
Failing that, 8mm dum dum sounds good.

That's exactly the item I bought for the same job on my wings recently.

Thanks guys, I will go for the 8mm butyl.

I did have a quick look on Audi Tradition, but struggled with the website. It doesnt seem very user friendly.

You do need to search using the part numbers from 7zap to make it easy.

Thanks - I will keep that in mind for next time.

The liners are something like 29 and 27 Euros a side from Audi Tradition but as always delivery is a hefty amount on top of that, around 30 Euros in my experience.
