Roof channels RS2....Audi avant

Evening all..

Can someone tell me the difference ? between. 8A5853703 01C for a 80 avant this available and this for the RS2 8A9853703D which is N/A for years.... are they the same part and do they look so different ?

8A5853703 01C is a saloon part. Avant specific parts has a part number of 8A9xxxxxx

Old thread but does anyone have a source for 8A9853703D & 8A9853704D ?
Any guides on how to remove them? if I could get them off maybe I could repair them

Are you talking about the rubber seals which run around the rear windows?

Hi Dave - not the rubber, but the hard plastic surround which goes from the front screen to the rear quarter. Mine is basically chipped away and getting in the way of getting clean lines during the roof paint job - see attached pic

Ah. I see. I broke an Avant last year and that part didn't survive removal. I think it was bonded, maybe some rivets. Not sure now. Good luck
