Just seen a 1999 cab in sainsburies and the trim on the front wing has no badge
This means all i need to do is get the new style trim, get it painted and we have a debadge situation people
Anyone got a part number?

Debadging the model I understand (I plan to remove my S2 badges) but every mother knows it's an Audi

Hate the little audi badges, as Jamo says they are nasty and i wanna go a bit more 'smooth and uncluttered' sort of oem/euro. I also remove badges from my clothing before i wear them (Scratches the back) and often from fruit before i eat it, guess i am just wierd or something

i just had a quick look in etka at the cabro section and the findings show that it looks like they never made them with out the badge mounts
No worries mate
There are two (four in reality if you count left and right) possible part numbers for that front bit of trim.
To avoid confusion, let base this on the lefthand side of the car.
895 853 507 - 6/91 to 7/97
or
895 853 507 B - 8/97 to 8/00,
As the first part number ran from 1991, I bet thats the one with the badge, as it's the same part as fits a Coupe.
So, if this cabby you saw was a 1999 model year. that'll prolly mean the second part number.
For the right handside, subsitute "507" for "508" on the above part numbers.
Of course that is just me speculating, it would need confirming from someone like Marty at Vagparts or Ben (s2avant)

I like the wing badges and replaced my worn out ones with new ones.

Hey thats a nice find Crawford - I think that oval Audi badge is a bit old looking also - doesn't seem to gel with the cars style. Its just a badge there for the sake of it. Nice.
