Other than the higher output of soot, it is better in many ways for the engine.
Lower egt's, lower emp's, better spool, more top end power.
In the Netherlands you pay 20% more road tax when the you remove the dpf, otherwise you do not get a MOT. You also go down to euro3 label.
You do need to have the ecu software modified.
