How difficult is installing an EGR delete kit yourself?

Hello everyone.

I am fairly comfortable working on my own vehicle but have never removed an EGR system before. I found a kit online that includes a block off plate and instructions but the reviews mention it can be tricky depending on engine layout.

My concern is accidentally causing a vacuum leak or damaging sensors nearby. Does this job typically require special tools or is it mostly basic wrenching? I would appreciate a rough time estimate too since I only have weekends free.

Any tips from people who have done this install themselves would really help me prepare properly.

No egr on an S2. Have you got the right forum?

As Dave say's no EGR in the way on an S2. If you could tell us what car you want to do it to that would really help.

Mechanically it's normally a very quick job, some older cars are super easy, whilst more modern cars generally the require the ECU to be tweaked to let it know the EGR is gone.
