    Removing porsche/RS2 cup-mirrors feet

Anybody know the way to undo the porsche/RS2 mirror feets. It seem that I can turn them endlessly, and then they "snap" back into position again.
    Need some advise on this........

    Cheers

I think that once you turn the mirror there should be 2 little allen key bolts in the base that should undo....

Yes that is correct, but i think what you mean is removal from the car. I'm looking into the mounting that's attached to the mirror. I have to take it appart because it has to be sprayed.
      Thanks

Sorry, i missread your post I had to do this on my old mirrors on my Porsche..... If i remember there is a big lock nut underneath which also has a high tensioned spring thingy...... there is a tool which fits over this, you basically have to push it in whilst tuning the mirror unit. which releases the base( i think)...it was a real PITA!!

Well thats funny I was wondering the same thing yesterday after picking up my RS2 mirrors from Sal (cheers m8 ).

You just saved me a bit of time trying to work it out or having to ask the question myself!!!

            Cheers,

            Mark.

You dont have to take them apart to do a proper paintjob.
I purchased new ones, then they come assembled and primered.
I had them sprayed at my Audi dealer: nice job for 75€.

(To remove the mirror glass, you go with a small screwdriver in the hole and turn the blocking ring anti clockwise.)
