  • Porsche 993 mirrors, changing the base foot

How do you change the foot on the 993 mirrors so they will fit the S2.

Can you use the foot of the original B4 mirror or is a new one required, and if so, where do you get it.

There was a thread by Prosty and Quattro_king detailing how to fit the mirrors without changing the base.

Hmm, so basically you have to cut a little of the sheet metal of the door?

Not to happy about that, but that´s the only solution i can find?

I assume, that this also will make it impossible to go back to the old mirror type (if you for some odd reason would want that)

                Let me get this straight.

If you buy the adaptor 8A0 858 551 the 993 mirrors is a straight fit to the coupe???

Or du you still need to dremel the door?

                BTW, a friend of mine with a 90 2.3 20v (B3) want´s the mirrrors also.

Is the mod procedure the same for this car?

Using this guide, how do you fix the mirror to the door?

This is one pic with a small hook or something attached to the screw withc goes through the mirror, but it´s hard to see how it´s made.

Is it at custom brakcet? Any further pics perhaps?
