    RS2 door trims

A semi lurker is looking for a little help........

I am trying to find a complete set new or a used set in good enough shape for a repaint. Both Upper and lower trims are needed. Anybody have these that they would like to sell or know of a good place to buy them?

I have been emailing back and forth with VAGparts for a couple of weeks, but now that I'm ready to buy I can't seem to get a response from them. It's been over a week now and still nothing. Isn't this par for them? I'm getting a little impatient.

    anyone?

I have been told that used ones were hard to come by. Do they rust quickly in foul weather?

I would prefer new ones as the car is totally dismantled to prepare for the respray in RS Blau. Maybe I should start a project thread?

        door trims

        hi there

yeah vag parts definitely have em as I bought one last week. It took them about 3-4 days to return my email, I know they have people on holiday so they're always busy.

In the end I rang to place my order.....that's an expensive door trim isn't it?

        Re-assuringly so! Good luck

        Simon

As mentioned Vagparts can get hold of them.

I asked about them 2 weeks ago for the lower ones as the ones on my car have rusted away and I have tried everything such as bonder and glue but they just won't stay on.

          I got quoted...
          Passenger side front - £86.81+vat
          Passenger side rear - £75.94+vat

Expensive I know because you can get a full set for the S2's for about £80.

Yes, they are crazy expensive. Especially when replacing both the upper and lower trims for the entire car. OUCH!

I now have the complete set of RS2 lower door trims for my car, but I need the narrow trim the mounts in the middle of the doors on the RS2. I have the trim for the front wings (left and right).

Does anyone have this trim for the doors? Used is OK if it's in good condition.

Also, someone asked in another thead about the cost of the RS2 trim......

In 2007 I was lucky enough to put together a complete set of new trims from Audi. Back then these were already drying up.....now I'm afraid there isn't much left anywhere. At this point I would think a German supplier would be you best bet.
