    Window tinting

What's a good price to pay for getting the windows tinted?

    Anyone BTDT, and got advice?

I got one of my old cars tinted, just make sure they use really good quality film!
Look at the chav mobiles with cheap ****** tints, they often have a purple tinge to them when looking out of them.
I think I paid about 250 quid, which was an estate car with all 4 doors, 2 rear sides and tailgate

There's a place by me that does tinting he's quoted me £180 for the avant which I think is about right for that size of car (and a couple of friends have used him so I know he does a good job).
Somewhere between £150 and £200 should get you a professional job done on most vehicles though.
Don't bother with the anti theft stuff it's an unneccesary expense and good quality normal tints will still hold the glass together for a time and deter a thief.
And don't go for the cheapest option (unless they come highly recommended) cheap quality film and poor fitting will make you wish you hadn't bothered and then when you try to take it off to get it done properly you can factor in the cost of a new rear screen if you ever want the heated element to work agan!!!

      150K and running great

This is the ones I had done, they were 20%.
They look really dark in the pics, but were slightly lighter.
When looking from the inside out, you couldnt hardly tell they were fitted, which is another thing to look out for with crap film!

          Thanks for the advice guys.
The quotes I've had so far are around £200.
I'm just not too sure how dark to get it...
