    Audi UrSW4/S6 Arch Extensions

As promised, these are the pictures of the UrS4/6 Audi arch extensions fitted this morning.

Obviously I have taped them on for the pictures but it can be seen the extension in depth the additional arches extensions give.

The front arch extension ranges from 4 to 6mm.

The rear gives between 13 to 25mm. (25mm to the rear/bumper, etc)

I would suggest that 9” wheel will be the maximum width with these arch extensions fitted, based on what the local Audi advised me when I bought them a few years ago. Especially so, since I have 18 *8.5 already fitted.

The rest of the pictures are in the gallery section.

    Ba,

    A.

Very interesting. I scoured the web for a pic of another urS4/6 with these on and couldn't find a single one. Be interesting to see how they look when painted up and permanently affixed ...!

I read somewhere before that some law in Italy dictated that these arches had to be fitted to the rear of S4's & S6's there & when on holidays in Italy a few years ago I did see a car there that had them fitted to teh rear arches.

        UrS6 4.2 V8 has the arch extensions!!!

        Hi all,

On eBay, right now, is an Audi Ur S6 V8 with the arch extensions fitted and painted Ming blue and LHD.

First one I have ever seen with the arch extensions actually fitted. It has convinced me to fit mine now.

Any progress/pics on this uber interesting project. I fancy that wide squat look for when I fit my H&Rs!

                Arches still not fitted

                Hi,

I have not touched the car since the end of March, as I have been working abroad, so the arches are still in the garage. I do intend to fit the arches but I am going to have the bonnet stripped and re-sprayed at the same time but money will have to be saved first. I have got to get the car MOT’d and serviced first though, as it has been stored ‘off road’ since the end of March.

I have H&R’s fitted to my car and although it sits quite nicely, (A little bit lower than standard) I am glad I purchased 18*8.5” rims and not the 18*9” as I think the larger width wheels would just about catch on the rear wheel arches in certain conditions.
I will keep you posted but it might be next year before I get the arches and the bonnet done due to my work load.

The car did kick into life first time though this morning, (Battery on charge all night) which I suppose is good since it has not been used for ‘3’ months.

I have not see one ‘Audi S or RS’ in Japan over the last ’18 months’ but not surprising in Tokuyama.

Got extremely bored so started this blog to amuse myself, my car is even embedded in blog as well.

Sanity is a compromise!!!! Think on.................

                Regards,

                Andy H
