Tailgate leak

Hi guys,i need youe help with a leaky s2 coupe tailgate,the back light on the drivers side was badly steaming up so i replaced the seal with the black liqurice stuff and cured that problem,but its still leaking in quite a lot,i have found a small split it the bottom of the seal that runs around the edge of the hatch,the one with the air holes every so often,when i depress the rubber seal water seeps out of the air holes,as if the seal is full of water

Preston Audi (main dealer) in has quoted me £45.00 for a new seal,is this expensive?if so does anybody know where to get one cheaper?Also is their any special glue needed when i replace it or does it fit straight back on?
Was thinking of paying someone to fit professionanlly just in case?? what do you think

I can't comment on the price of the seal, sounds okay, but to verify, call the guys at www.vagparts.co.uk ...
