You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
does anyone know if the avant chassis used on the RS2 has any differences as far as strengthening is concerned with the S2 avant or the normal B4 avant?
where should i search to find out that information?

Based on the history as I undersand it, the RS2 started life as a partially completed S2 avant. The question is whether the S2 had any extra reinforcement over the 80. Based on price points and intended uses, I doubt that there was any extra reinforcements.
Hopefully, others have more/better info.

i thought of that actually as i also have heard that.Also many front wheel drive avants from 1994 and on the chassis floor had the possibility to obtain the quattro system without cutting and welding.This is why myself think that there must be no actual reinforcements.
