          Martyn,

For info the Avant guide that you faxed me did not match my coupe. the combi bolts in the guide are replaced by bolts and brackets that are only reached with the indicator and fog lights out.

          All the more fun

Its dead easy to get the bumper off anyhow.

Remember to remove the belly pan and the bolts in arch liner also

I have had my ABY coupe bumper off recently and couldn't ave bin easier.

To save time leave on belly pan, take out indicators and fogs, undo two hex bolts front of both wheel arches. Now just undo the four 13 or 15 mm studs, cant remember size, behind lights and off it comes. You need to pull the bumper out at the sides to clear the arch liners but belly pan should stay in place Quite happily. Then to refit stretch it back on.

You might find the captive nut that holds intercooler on to crossmember is a bit of a git, mine was f in tight and the metal around the nut gave way before the nut did so it span in the hole and needed gentle abuse to undo it.

                Anyway good luck, Crawford.

                  Crawford,

Weird how it goes.. the captive nut on mine was as lose as anything!! or I should say, the square of metal that holds the intercooler 'captive' nut was not over the nut very tight at all, so I had to 'jam' a screw driver into the gap to stop the nut from turning!!

We all drive the same cars, yet no two any at all the same! my avant bumper came off in seconds, no trouble.
