    Trim removal?

Can anybody tell me how this piece of trim is held on? Is it bolted from the inside or clipped on the outside? Same for the longer one on the door too.

I thought those were a weird slidey clip - never done one... Sorry - just assumed.

The lower rubbers are sliding. The door guards are cliped in with plastic barbs that need to be pressed and squeezed out from the inside.

as andy says take off the inner 3/4 trim and undo the three 10mm nuts, pulls straight off
door is the same but a PITA as you need to remove the window mech to get to the nuts

did the one on my s2 a few weeks back and i could get to all the nuts with 'just' the door trim removed.Bit of overkill if you ask me but i suppose it stops people nicking them.

Yeah I second that, stripped the car for the respray a couple of weeks ago, all of that trim stuff on the waist of the car was bolted on.

Be careful with the ones on the front wings, they are NLA.
Broke my left one, NLA, phoned the scrappers and they broke theirs too not realizing it is bolted on

Bit of glue sorted it though

you're right actually... for some reason i forgot the window moved

I'll definately be keeping the wing trims off my old rust ones when they come off then

What about on an avant guys? the trim is the same colour coded piece (but thinner) and there arent any bolts inside the door so do they slide or are they bonded
