I have only just seen this thread! Those SQ prices are insane. Glad I dont own one in a way, would cost me a fortune each time i crash it!

@PJ, I have a Subaru scoop going spare if you want it.

On a more serious note, there is a company called Cool Louvres that do special custom bonnet venting that looks very subtle. This time im NOT being sarcastic. Not sure if they are still around, but they can do anything you want. And can even do it on a painted bonnet without needing to respray it

                Quote from the site........

                How Much?

The cost of bonnet louvring is £5.00 per louvre for up to 20 louvres and £2.00 per louvre there after, compare this to buying and professionally
                fitting fibreglass or plastic inserts.

You would need maybe 10 louvres over the turbo for good cooling effect, maybe some more above the IM???? Dont want the bonnet to look to Barry boys

I'll hack a few holes in your bonnet with a tin opener for £4.50 a gash, up to 20, then £50.00 each gash after that. Sounds like a bargain to me! Form an orderly queue!

I'm thinking some louvres, so far, or maybe cosworth style vents, and some kind of funnel/vent made from S/S over the turbo and downpipe to channel heat/rainwater and protect the cone filter from all that nasty inlet heat too. Right, best get started on this. Ummm.... *chirp of crickets whilst I stare blankly at the car*

                    Very slow.

                    Needs a chip.

If your going for that many louvres, why not add some to the wing to get better flow to the air filter?

Clio 16V uses a good drain, so that water doesnt go onto the manifold

The wing vent posted by RobW is from a Merc 300 front wing I thought I recognised it!

Sorry Mark, didn't see your post. The Minor has had a fair bit of work. It has done 24,000 miles and has been off the road most of it's life. It had an accident at 17K miles and spent 18 years at the side of the owners house!

Rob W kindly shrunk my picture. I was having prolems!

This shows a custom made Bentley Grille £800ish . It is made from 4mm thick laser cut stainless steel. It is notched and fits together beautifully. the back is straight but the front edge is scalloped. I was worried about the effects of this grille on a pedestrians head! Their skull would pass through like a potatoe through a chipper!

                              David

                              sorry about the poor picture
