RS2 mirror mounting, Part Deux

I looked at the thread about mounting the mirror and my mirrors look completely different!
Do I have RS2 mirrors?
They look different that the ones in the mirror mounting instructions of the archived post. http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showth...ight=rs2+mirror

The mountingsocket looks like the original porsche cup mountingsocket? And not like the square like rs2 socket.

Dave, I don't think you got the right item.....

Where did you get your mirrors from? In the States, I got mine from
Europrice. A little expensive but at least they have the full kit. And I followed the German site for fixing it on.

Your Mirror are 993 mirror ,I put the same the Rs2 mirror have different support.... It's possible to put it ...

So these will mount on the Audi?
Did you just change the hole in the door to get it to fit?

Yes you must change th hole in the door .. and they is lot of job ... but you can do it ! long but can do .. ;-) .. I try to make some picture of my S2 with 993 Mirror when I have time ... ;-)

I have Rs2 mirrors and I had to make the holes larger. I used a dremel with a fiberglass blades.
