    HID's which ones?

Now winter has set in properly I'm really fed up of my passengers asking me if I have my lights on. Ive got a 3B so my lights are candel powered.

The question is am I about to purchase the correct HID kit, am I right in thinking I need a H4 Bi-xenon kit? Either I can go for one with the bulbs which move or the dual bulb system with 4 ballasts, but then I dont have much space either.

And yes they will be ebay specials, but they are soo cheap I cant help but try them!
    Thanks MIchael

Thought as much, well going to go with a UK seller, I want them for my birthday on Wed! Stupid i know to pay extra, but i cant bring myself to use Non-EU sellers, too many horror stories.
Anyway will look for Acidburns link.
        Cheers

I have a H1 kit for the RS2. 35w in low beam, and 55w in high beam. 55w needs 1sek or so to fire completely up. Got them of a GB on the bay. On the 55w kit I got an extra resistor or something, to stop it from messing with hte autocheck. Don't remember the brand, but they were made by Hella in China. There's alot of them on the bay now, and I guess, anyone with a lot of positive feedback and a warranty is the one to go for. I think I got 2 years warranty on mine. They were around £100 for each set.
Make sure you get your lights adjusted profesionally after installing.
I have them in 6000k, looks white, and not blueish. I think white suits older cars better.

Wasnt sure what colour to go for 6000k or 4300K? Looking at your photo the 6000k looks good. Hmm well I'm going to take the plunge later today will update what I go for.
Once again thanks for the help.

You want 6000 for brilliant white or 6500k for a slight blue tinge to it.

4300 is orangey, why would you want that? it would look like a halogen bulb

Was considering 4300 for near OEM look, but as my car is as far from OEM on the outside I suppose its not worth it. I will be going for a 6000k kit, though my major problem is to go for one with the motorised bulb which moves for HI/LO or to get the kit which has 4 ballasts and basicall2 bullbs in one holder. I think the motorised route would be better with space limitations.

I went for 2 separate kits. H1 for full beam and H4 for dip beam. Installation was tricky but I didn't think the Bi-Xenon kit would disperse the light properly as the pattern in the glass is not correct for full beam.
