Rear Opening Windows

I have done a quick search and could not find any info on the rear opening side windows. Which coupes were they fitted to and can they be retrofitted to one without?

AFAIK it was a rare option on the later coupes and can be fitted to any series 3 coupe..... if you can find the bits to do it...

Which ever original purchaser stumped up the extra cash for them. They were an optional extra. Earliest I've seen in a mates 1991 cq20v.

and can they be retrofitted to one without?

Yes, but make sure you get everything needed, both windows, the motors, seals, outer trim, the loom, the switch panel and a couple of extra switches. Most important parts are the rear trims (house the tweeters) both are now NLA to buy new.
They aren't a walk in the park to fit either, lots of trim needs to be removed inside.

But, saying that, myself and my brother managed to fit both ours Coupes with them in one day (early start, late finish)

As above, my 3b didn't have them but aronmatic2 was good enough to ship me a set over, then anton and stiglett helped me fit them.

as jas said just make sure you get everything to do this, I might know of a set coming up in the near future.

you need quite some parts, they are rare and damm expencive.

I was at my partssuplier and he had an S2 that was going to be taken apart. This one was equiped with the windows and all parts where still there.
I didnt take them as I thought it would be to much work fitting it all...

Parts were in Holland @ Coen Donkers Audi parts ( www.coendonkers.nl)

i have spare set in my garage, but not for sale
try ebay.de. i guess that tots has set for salle too
prices are from 300e.....

if you gona buy set make sure you get all parts, because some parts arent anymore available from audi and it is almst imposible to find them on market
