Drivers Door Handle removal help

I want to remove the drivers door handle before the RS2 goes to the painters on Monday due to it getting coined.

How can I remove the exterior drivers side door handle?

you need to remove the door card, and then get to the inner side of the handle. there is one bolt i think, and one metal clip you have to remove by turning it counter clock wise. when you get there you will see.

I have taken the door card off and found the bolt but I cant find what else to release.

Do I have to take this black steal cover off as well:

behind the lock there is a metal clip i was talking about. remove the black metal thing, but do not remove the big bolts that hold the glass frame to the door. setting it back is a major PITA.
just remove the golden ones, and one larger silver.

just had to do this myself lastweek, like skull 23 says there is a metal clip the loops round the lock, it is shaped so you can get your hand in there and just push it and it will fall off

Car is off to the painters today, hope I can put that F%@^! clip back on ok when I put the door back together. . .
