I have had several quotes to do this job but am happy to use this company as I have known him for 15 years and have seen his work.
and who did you use if you don't mind saying, it looked good in the pictures or was it worse up close?
As I mentioned allready the rust above the window was quite bad and the rear seam under the light, but also front wings had a little rust dammage where bumper has been flapping around. (gen RS2 bumper don't see why it was not fitted with all of the screws???)
Passenger door had laquer peeling right in the middle. Both rear wings had laquer peeling everywhere. and the bonnet had gone a nasty yellow tint.
that is a very good price if all that stuff is to be done!!! i was getting similar quotes in europe for only a respray without touching anything for 1500euro!!

That sounds like a good price. I know someone who did the same for a lotus carlton and it cost a lot more than £2000!
I did however strip it myself and let the painter do all the prep work.
3 layers of clear coat, with a touch of the base color in the last clear coat layer.
all being well you can all see it at the east mids meet on the 27th.
I had all the interior done the other day i forgot about posting that. All the leather was re conditioned to get rid of the cracked look bolsters and i had all the roof lining and trim's dyed black which to me is nicer than the dirty grey colour.
I thought this was going to be the painting of the SWB Quattro! How is it coming on by the way?
Well since you ask, I mentioned it to the same guy and also asked him how I go about attaching the wings and roof. (to make it look really good)
And he said no problem fetch it down, So I admit I am not a bodywork man when it comes to fiberglass and huge pots of filler, so It looks llike he is going to do all the bonding and paint work for me on that too.
