Well as I am goint to the extent of having the car painted and a nice job at that. I decided to splash out on a set of porsche cup mirrors to match the bumper and grille. So to get them painted at the same down I popped down to make them fit before paint......

Unfortunatly due to it having repairs in the past to the rear arches they have not been pulled as this would have created lots more work. O Well my arches will be fat enough on the shorty!
Next question...
Porsche cup mirrors off the 993 I have read all the posts on the forum for fitting these and have found if i file 1.5mm out of the mirror appeture and drill a 6mm hole into the inner door skin, the mirrors drop in and you can then tighten them directly into place. But the drivers one slants up a little and the passenger side is perfect. Is it just the base I need to change.
Basses that I have are.
LH = 965 731 241 01 Which is good
RH = 965 731 242 00 Which is slanted up???Comment

Porsche cup 993 911 mirrors are not symetrical.
I have answered this question on my own...
So when you buy a set of mirrors you need
The LH mirror from a RHD car
The RH mirror from a LHD car
So if you buy 2 pairs of mirrors one pair RHD and one pair LHD
You can make 2 sets.
1 set looks nice the other set will look like dumbo trying to take off.

Just a quick teaser of what the finish is like.......
Only one bad thing is that they have broken a wing mirror glass on my cup mirrors....
So that's another £70 for a replacement glass.

If you want some lights for your fogs, ring luminator fit very well. better match for the ellipsoid than the hella effort!
