RS2 fog light glass removal/swap?

I've got a cracked fog light lens. Is it possible to remove/swap just the lens?

I wondered if anyone has had a go at doing this and what success tips they've got?

yes it can be done, but only the hard way. that means cutting the glass out of the donor foglight, and glue it back with silicone.

Hmmm. What would you use to cut out the donor glass? Dremel disc cutter?

A very sharp stanly knife has worked well for me in the past. We did this on ashenglands car to paint the reflectors black...

if you only replace the cracked lense you may find that the colour may look abit off as one may look older than the other.

May be an idea to just replace as a pair maybe find some used ones or something..

i would suggest the same. there is no gaurentee that the light wont take humidity again

What glue or silicone

would one use?

I wanted to open it up to cut off the metal peak inside that make the beam pattern a fog beam pattern, by doing so I was hoping to make them more of a flood light pattern and rewire them to come on with the main beam?

i have used ordinary transparent silicone, also used for windows (house windows, not the XP ones)
