Headlamp casing (the white bit!)

Are they the same on elipsoids and the older ones?
Some of the mounting points are broken on mine, and on one side the bit sticking out where the under headlight trim screws onto has snapped too.
Is it possible to buy the cheaper non elipsoid lamps (or just the outer shell) and swap the guts from mine into them?

You can buy just the shell Dest i got mine from Vag parts they were about £20-30 iirc i guess audi will be alittle more but i expect to pay alot for it any how. HTH
