Keep me posted mate as i was going to paint the chrome strips on my bodywork black but having them wrapped especially in the carbon film is even more appealing. Hmmmmm.....wonder what the hardtop would look like done in carbon

I used to do this stuff all the time on my motorbikes, usually always the exhausts on my little two strokes end cans. I'd buy the carbon fibre sheeting and simply wrap it round once cut to shape/size.

They lasted for about 18months, however this was with the extreme heat which goes through an exhaust as it would eventually dis-colour and 'burn' so not too bad. It fooled pretty much everybody who looked at it, especially with a nicely made 'Cagiva' or 'aprilia racing' logo put on there. I'd imagine on a mirror it'd look pretty good, and last a lot longer too, does he do it with the blue weave ala the interior trim?

Not to sure if he has different shades of weave for there carbon wrap. Ihad a quote and its not cheap. Its £175 plus VAT just for the mirrors! Apparently the mirrors are hard to do so its more about the man hours than the material. I may still do it for something different.
