            Two different lamps??

I've asked this before, but never got a reply. The auction picture shows the lefthand lens has white horizontal bars for the reverse, and the righthand one appears to have red horizontal bars.

Can anyone confirm that there are in fact two types of US spec lamps?
Those with white horz bars and those those with red horz bars.

            Thanks,
            Nuvo.

Nuvo you have it a bit confused. They are white horizontal bars but if looked at from the extreme right or left it shows red. They are all the same. I will take a pic of the lamps I have on my car over the weekend, right now Iam moving to a new house so no time.

              cheers

Nuvo was right! there are two versions of the US tail lamps. I've taken pics to show but Iam not at my garage till later. Before I compare the two pieces closely I need help in taking the original off. I've taken out all 6 nuts but it will not budge. How do I get it off without breaking?

Happy Happy Joy Joy! I thought there were two versions but couldn't be certain. Once you have the 6 hex nuts off you need to gently pry the lens away from the body shell with a butter knifee or similiar, slowly but surely working the knife into the caulk sealant around the edges and gently pulling onf the lamp as you go.

Any detailed pics of the lamps which have the red horizontal bars would be apreciated rs2coupe/PeterS. Anyone happen to know the part number differences (if any)?

                    Cheers.

Here is a pic of the original lamps on the car and a brand new set I purchased to replace with. You can see the difference with the two. I ran out of time to check on part #'s but will give a go tomorrow.
