Front Bumper wanted

I need an S2 type front bumper as mine has been damaged in an accident.
I own a 1994 Audi Coupe Quattro 2.8 V6 which had the S2 type front bumper fitted when I bought it. This differs from the S2 bumper only in that it does not have the headlight washers but is otherwise the same.
Can anyone tell me where I can get one as my garage is having great difficulty?

Thats the standard bumper for your car, all the coupes with the V6 had that bumper. should be handy enough to get from breakers etc or ebay but won't be too cheap (pay up to £200 for a good one).

Thank you - yes I saw that particular ad, and you have confirmed my belief about that bumper shape.
My insurance company refused to believe it was a standard part for the V6 and told me they would only pay for the standard bumper fitted to the 1.8 and the 2.3 as Audi UK parts had told them that that was the one. They said that the car had been modified, but I couldn't find how to prove them wrong so I now have to pay for the correct part out of my own pocket!

Don't put up with that. It is OE/Standard and they should pay for it. I am sure if you need a dealership/Parts dept. to help out, then Ben on here will confirm to them

Insurance companies know nothing and expect us to suffer for their ignorance. My insurance company won't insure my S2 against theft until it has an imobiliser fitted, I told them it has a factory one but unless I have a certificate they wont accept it. Now I have to get some cheapo nasty aftermarket imob stuck to my dash before they will cover me. The car has a tracker fitted but it seems that isnt good enough either

The bumper on your car is commonly known as the 'V6' bumper, the S2 had the headlamp washers so what exactly do they think this one was fitted to as standard? I'd get proof if I were you, get the part number off Audi using your chassis number.

V6 bumper problem

I have been to Audi Parts department, with my chassis number, and they showed me on their computer a drawing of the bumper they said was the one I required. This was the bumper I am driving around with now that was fitted by my garage after the accident, and came from Audi.
The actual illustration looked like the one off the 1.8 and 2.0 models and not the V6 (or S2) shape. They said that that was the bumper shown and anything else was wrong - something the insurance company agreed with.
There doesn't seem to be anyone (other than Audi) who can authenticate my bumper, who the insurance company will trust. You guys know what you are talking about and are right in what you say, but other than getting Audi to agree, I am stuffed.I hate driving around with the wrong part but am unable to move forward with this.

I'd be furious, as has been pointed out all the V6 Coupés had the deeper S2 type front bumper, it's worth noting that head lamp washers were an optional extra on non S2 Coupés. It may be worth finding some Audi promotional info relating to your car's year/model as this should at least show the V6 bumper, it may even mention it in the sales blurb.

Every 94 /95 V6 (Cab) on Pistonheads can't have a modified front bumper.

What's the model and year of your car btw, as others on here may be able to post information to allow you valid your assertions?

It clearly shows that the 5 & 6 Cyc coupe has the same bumper!!!

You may have to sign up to see it.... But print it out and stuff it under the barstewards noses......
