Here is how to get your lenses looking brand new. You do not need to remove them from the vehicle to complete this task. However removing them from the vehicle will allow you to achieve better results around the edges.

    1st,
Wash lenses with some detergent to remove any stuck on particles.

    2nd,
Mask off the surrounding area with some good masking tape. Do not use duct tape or anything similar too it. With those kinds of tape the adhesive may hold to strongly and peel off paint when you attempt to remove it.

    3rd,
Fill a bucket with luke warm water & wet sand the lenses with 2000 grit sandpaper. This will remove any oxidization (yellowish color) built up over time on the lenses.

    4th,
Rinse off the lenses to remove any left over gritty material & towl dry. At this point the lenses should look foggy. If there is any area that does not look foggy grab the bucket & sand paper & continue sanding those areas.

    5th,
You may have to mask the area surrounding lenses again with new tape if the tape becomes to saturated after water has been applied. Here is a tip, when you mask the surrounding areas double up the layers of tape for better protection. Now apply some good rubbing compound ( I suggest 3M compound) to the lenses & buff. When you are buffing the lenses be careful not to allow the buffer to remain in one spot for too long. You do not want to damage the lenses or paint by burning through them with the buffer. If you do not have a buffer you can still get excellent results by hand, it's just going to take alittle elbow grease.

    6th,
Wash off the left over compound & take a good look at the lenses if there are still some dull spots continue with the buffing process. If they look good, then stand back & enjoy your hard labor...
